LICHEN
Lichens are organisms of algae and fungi. Next to algae and insects, which are receiving lots of attention, lichen posses a great deal of nutritional value and potential as a source of nutrition in the future.
Investigating history and different cultures lichen showed up several times. Extremely hardy, frequently confused with moss, the underestimated organism can be termed as a superfood – are effective when used as a medicine and could even grow on Mars! Lichen are the basic source and inspiration for Simiæn.
STONES/ROCKS
Rocks are the source for the most things on earth – as with lichen. They are also inspiration and one of the main material for Simiæn.
The natural stone Pannonia Green is quarried in Austria. It is from Burgenland’s highest mountain: Geschriebenstein!
This stone is a metomorphite. It is a transformation rock that have been transformed by nature from various old materials into something new. Memamorphites have the most eventful past of all rocks.
